The Sonepat Co-op. Sugar Mills Ltd. Sonipat Haryana was established in the year
1976-77 and started production on 3.01.1977. installed capacity of the plant was
supplied and erected by Engineering Project of India (EPI). Technical efficiency
of the plant was not good up-to 1982. Working of the plant improved after 1982.

Modernization / balancing of the plant was done in 1990-91.Some equipments were
added for balancing of the plant to crush upto 1600 tcd. Factory crushed 3547432
Qtl.Cane and produced 353645 Qtls of sugar during the season 1991-92. factory
achieved technical efficiency awards for many years. During season 2003-04
Factory achieved 1st position in National Awards for Technical Efficency and
cane development. Factory achieved the highest sygar recovery of 10.66% since
inception of mills during season 2003-04. |

Factory achieved new milestone by installing 1 mw. Incildental co-generation
project during year 2004-05. Mill exported 21,90,510 units of value Rs.51.47
lacs and sold bagasse worth Rs.62.57 lacs during crushing season 2005-06, during
season 2007-08 mill exported 17,08,000 units of value Rs. 40,1380 and sold
bagasse worth Rs.71.20 Lacs, during season 2008-09 mill exported units of value
Rs. and sold bagasse worth Rs. Lacs.
